This set of tracing cards is based on the shapes taught in the Montessori homeschooling method during the metal insets work. The child will follow the grooves with their finger or tracing stick, which is helpful in practicing handwriting skills. There are five straight-lined figures and five curve-lined figures: square, triangle, rectangle, pentagon, trapezoid, circle, oval, ellipse, curvilinear triangle, and quatrefoil. We have engraved each name onto the card. The shapes correspond directly to the curves and angles found in the letters of the alphabet.
Along with tracing the cards, you can also play in various ways such as doing crayon rubbings, play dough impressions, or fill the grooves with beads. You can choose to order the cards only or with a storage box.
Crafted from maple wood and measures 4x5-inches. Includes tracing stick.
