The dolls in this set are discounted due to an uneven coat of shellac on the wood as well as some darker variations in the grain patterns. These don't really show while the dolls have their clothing on though.

Our delightful Rainbow Peg Dolls are dear to my heart. I sincerely hope they bring friendship, learning, and play into your child's world. In our home, we love having them accompany our lessons, sometimes just sitting near us while coloring or writing, and other times being the star of the show. My toddler has built fine motor skills when dressing his dolls, learned color sorting by matching the hats and shirts, and been introduced to mixing primary and secondary colors. The more we play, the more we learn and discover!

Notice how we have primary colors in large dolls and secondary colors in small dolls. We consider them parents and children, creating color families. Introduce your child to how colors blend by telling them stories with the dolls. Inspire wonderment by asking "Whose baby belongs to the Daddy Yellow and Mommy Blue Gnome?" "Purple is going for a walk with his Daddy Blue. They see Mommy sitting under the tree. What color is she?"
